Centenary Ceilidh!
Friday, 24th March 2023
The hall started its formal centenary celebrations with a Ceilidh. It was a sell out and a tremendous success. Thanks to the local band, ‘Cats Claw’ for delivering excellent music and a wide variety of dances, including something for everybody. The group leader, Guy Bowden, had the knack of persuading everyone to have a fling, a laugh and a thoroughly good, social evening.
Thanks to the Hall Committee for laying on a Ploughman’s Supper to strengthen reserves for the second half!
Dancing has always had an important place in the history of the hall, whether it be classes, personal practice or social events. So it was the perfect way to enjoy an evening in the hall’s 100 th year.
